Russia’s leading pay-TV operator Tricolor TV is making a major change to its programme offer, effective January 26.
It will see the replacement of five packages – Optimum, Super Optimum, Maximum HD, Maximum HD Siberia and Super Maximum HD – with a single one, simply known as ‘One’.
This will be available throughout the country, irrespective of region, and consist of 25 HD and 140 SDS channels.
It will cost R600 (€7.94) for six months, R900 for nine months and R1,200 for 12 months to receive.
Industry sources say the move is designed to scale up users of low-end packages and to encourage subscribers to buy HD reception equipment.
