Orange France is testing a new interface for the Orange TV satellite service with employees and friendly users.
The new interface will offer more fluidity in navigation within menus, a new home screen and a recommendation service.
The new functionalities will also include the possibility of programming recordings from smartphones and tablets, access to an apps menu featuring Dailymotion, Allocine and Deezer.
The new version also offers an automatic switch between DTT and satellite DTH reception to choose the best possible reception quality.
Orange customers with an STB with a hard drive will be able to pause and rewind live broadcasts up to 7 GB, or a maximum of 1 hour in HD.
Those without a hard drive will be able to use trick play with live broadcasts using the Flash drive, pausing live TV will be possible for about 66 minutes in SD and 27 minutes in HD.
This month, Orange TV is also celebrating its first anniversary un der the Orange TV brand name, which was launched on January 14, 2014 (watch video).
