Dutch media company Just Media Group has acquired the NostalgieNet digital TV channel and its parent company Tijdsbeeld Media.
NostalgieNet was launched in 2008 and reaches 4.5 million potential Dutch households. According to SKO research some one million people tune in at least once a week to the channel.
The broadcaster specialises in programming from the fifties till the eighties and aims at an audience of 45+. The mix of programmes consists of Dutch and British TV series, movies, old news reels, entertainment and comedy shows.
The new owners said they plan to beef up programming including adding some of its own productions to the roster.
