Turner Broadcasting System has appointed Dominik Tzimas and Tarek Mounir.
Tzimas will be distribution director, central and eastern Europe and Russia, charged with the development of Turner’s distribution and syndication business in key markets across these territories.
Specifically, he will be tasked with distribution and content syndication of Cartoon Network, Boomerang, TCM as well as original TNT productions.
Tzimas joins Turner from AMC/Chello Central Europe where he served as country manager Poland as well as regional sales director for the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania.
Based in Warsaw, he reports to Matthias Heinze, VP commercial for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, CEE and Russia.
Tarek Mounir was recently promoted to a new role of general manager, Turkey, Middle East, North Africa, Greece and Cyprus. Reporting to Rani R Raad, managing director for the region, Mounir will have oversight for all operational and business functions across his remit, informed an official statement. He was commercial director until recently.
“Turner is continuing to expand its interests in the region and Tarek is very much the person to take our business here to the next level,” said Raad.
