Hauk Markus (41) has taken over the management of German video-on-demand (VOD) service Netzkino.
Markus has previously been managing director of CLA – Content Lizenz Agentur where he was responsible for the aggregation and distribution of VOD rights on German-language and international platforms.
“We are happy that in Hauk Markus we have won such an experienced manager who is perfectly familiar with both the VOD business and the processes of a VOD portal,” said Netzkino’s founder Peter von Ondarza. “With his expert knowledge, he will further advance the strategic development of Netzkino’s successful positioning.”
Netzkino offers movies free-of-charge. The service is financed through commercials shown before and during the films.
