M6 Group, through its subsidiary M6 Web, has acquired a 100% stake in the French media group Oxygem for an undisclosed fee.
Oxygem operates a number of websites including CuisineAZ.com, Passeportsante.net, Radins.com, Meteocity.com and Fourchette-et-bikini.fr.
M6 Group says that the deal will strengthen its position as one of the leading internet companies in France – it is currently in eighth position – with 15 million unique visitors a month for what will be the newly merged company.
It adds that the deal will also allow it to strengthen its technological expertise in marketing performance and the exploitation of data.
Furthermore, M6 Publicité Digital will consolidate is position as a key player in the internet advertising market by increasing the strength and diversity of its digital channels.
