SPI International has restructured its local country team in Budapest, which now handles all operations in Hungary.
These include the distribution of TV channels and further expansion of the multiscreen VOD platform FilmBox Live.
SPI International and FilmBox have also recently introduced FilmBox Premium as their flagship channel in Hungary, with the service replacing FilmBox Extra.
According to Berk Uziyel, executive director at FilmBox International, “We want to make sure that our subscribers have total clarity as to which one of our numerous channels carries the most recent movie premieres and new TV series”.
Subscribers in Hungary will see the new name and logo as of today (January 5).
Uziyel added: “SPI International strongly believes in the Hungarian market, which has already given us the opportunity to successfully run our theatrical distribution and operate FilmBox brand movie channels. This is why over the past few months we have been working hard on creating a very strong local team in Budapest. This new team, under the leadership of Mr. Tamas Fulop, is now handling all operations and making our business grow in order to achieve very ambitious goals which we have set forth for 2015”.
