German teleshopping channel Aristo TV has launched on Astra (19.2° East) on January 1, 2015 as a free-to-air service on the frequency 11.273 GHz H (SR 22,000, FEC 2/3).
A live-stream will soon be added to the website. Apps (iOS/Android) for smartphones and tablets as well as interactive HbbTV services for connected TV sets are also planned.
The channel whose name stands for “excellent” in Greek wants to show both original home shopping shows as well as third-party programmes.
Parent company AR Media Service founded by Jennifer Lapidakis, head of German entertainment channel Anixe TV, received a broadcast licence for Aristo TV from the media authorities in December 2014.
