Rebranding from Romtelecom to Telekom Romania has had a beneficial effect on the company’s TV business, with the number of subscribers increasing by 44,000 since September.
Speaking to ZF, its CEO Nikolai Beckers added that the number of customers for its fixed-mobile package had meanwhile quadrupled over the same period.
Furthermore, half of new customers who purchased mobile subscription services had also purchased packages in the last six months.
The rebranding of Romtelecom and its sister company Cosmote was undertaken in September with a budget of nearly €15 million.
Despite these favourable initial indicators, Beckers said its full effects would only be seen after six months.
