RCS&RDS is to take over all the radio stations owned by Central European Media Enterprises (CME) in Romania.
Citing company sources, Mediafax reports that the two parties have reached an agreement to this effect and will submit documents to the National Audiovisual Council (CNA).
However, the regulator will have no say on the acquisition.
CME, which through Pro TV and its proprietary thematic channels and SVOD service Voyo is one of the leading broadcasters in Romania, currently owns the radio stations Pro FM, Info Pro, Pro Classic FM Music and Dance FM.
RCS&RDS, which has been trying to enter the radio market since 2013, is meanwhile the leading cable and DTH operator in Romania.
