Germany’s second-largest cable operator Unitymedia Kabel BW will remove three analogue TV channels from its lineup.
The analogue carriage of Euronews, BBC World News and CNN International will cease on January 15, 2015. Cable viewers can continue to receive the channels in digital without additional charge.
The Liberty Global subsidiary which serves federal states North-Rhine Westphalia, Hessen and Baden-Württemberg wants to use the vacated capacity for digital channels.
