Slovak Telekom and Markiza have entered into a long-term partnership in the field of HD broadcasting.
Valid from 2015-2017, it will authorise the incumbent telco to distribute HD versions of the channels Markiza, Doma and Dajto and offer its customers non-linear services as an archive produced by Markiza, as well as opportunity to provide online and mobile broadcasts.
Commenting on the partnership, Juraj Bóna, senior manager for product management and marketing, Slovak Telekom, said: “The negotiated agreement opens up many opportunities to deliver an attractive portfolio of content from Markiza in HD to all our customers regardless of where they are and what device they’re using.”
Matthias Settele, CEO of Markzia, added: “We are very pleased to be able to provide Markiza broadcasts in the best HD quality. The agreement also confirms the quality cooperation between the two companies in many aspects such as the transmission of programmes, online, mobile communication, advertising and sponsorship”.
Markzia, which is the leading broadcaster in Slovakia, made the transition to all-HD services earlier this month.
