UPC plans to add HBO Go to its offer in Slovakia in 2015.
In a wide-ranging interview with the cable operator, Zive adds that further details about the service, which will include new features with added value for customers, will be provided on an ongoing basis.
UPC was critical of plans announced earlier this year by the broadcasters Joj and Markiza to charge for their HD channels, calling their “unilateral actions” unjustified.
The cable operator also said it plans to expand the number of HD channels in its line-up in 2015 from the current 26.
In addition, it may consider retaining just HD versions of channels also offered in SD.
Furthermore, it may increase its top internet access Fiber Power speed from the current 300 Mbps depending on developments in the market.
