OTT streaming service Magine TV is now available for Google Chromecast in Sweden and Germany.
Magine TV has updated its iOS and Android apps to allow watching streaming TV via the Chromecast on their TV set. The browser version of Magine also enabled Chromecast streaming.
“With the Chromecast support Magine TV becomes accessible for viewers who have not yet a smart TV, so now the majority of the Swedish TV viewers can enjoy Magine TV’s unique combination of live television, start-over and catch-up in the same service,” said Alexander Jamal, manager Sweden, Magine TV.
In Sweden, Magine offers up to 40 channels including public broadcaster SVT, Disney, Discovery, Comedy Central, Cartoon Network, CNN, TNT, MTV, Eurosport and others with packages starting at Kr.159 per month. Watching the public SVT channels is free of charge.
In Germany, people can stream up to 90 channels, including public and private broadcasters for subscriptions starting at EUR1.99 a month. A basic package with just the public channels is available free of charge.
Magine competitor Zattoo has been offering Chromecast support for its services for some time.
