The German media authorities’ licencing and supervision commission ZAK has issued TV licences to two new home shopping broadcasters at its latest assembly in Berlin.
AR Media Service GmbH has received a licence to operate nationwide home shopping channel Aristo TV for a 10-year period. The company’s sole shareholder is Jennifer Lapidakis, known in the industry as the managing director of German entertainment channel Anixe.
Aristo TV plans a 24 hour service containing both its own home shopping shows as well as third-party programmes, according to ZAK.
Genius GmbH has received a 10-year licence to operate nationwide home shopping services GeniusPlus Germany TV and GeniusPlus Pro Germany TV. The focus will be on household products. Further programmes are planned on the areas of outdoor, cosmetics, beauty and fitness.
