German cable operator PrimaCom has chosen security solutions provider Conax, part of Swiss Kudelski group, for content revenue protection covering its growing cable and pay-TV business.
PrimaCom has deployed the Conax Contego security back-end to deliver service protection and streamlined services for its existing nationwide DVB cable operations.
As the solution also enables DRM and secure delivery of premium content to a multitude of devices, it paves the way for the cable operator to add multiscreen and OTT offerings at a later stage.
With more than 1.2 million connected households, PrimaCom is Germany’s fourth-largest cable operator.
