Outgoing Freesat managing director Emma Scott is to take up an advisory role to DC Thomson.
The Scottish publisher is best known for The Beano, People’s Friend, My Weekly and the Sunday Post.
It was an early player in Independent Television through its shareholding in Southern Television and now owns the Friends Reunited website.
Scott, who yesterday enjoyed a leaving party with industry friends in central London will leave her post at the end of the year in favour of Alistair Thom, Freesat’s finance director and company secretary.
