Eurochannel has launched in Slovakia on Antik Telecom’s IPTV service.
The channel is the only service offering 100% European content, with films, series and music specials all shown in their original audio version and with subtitles in each region’s local language.
Meanwhile, Kosice-based Antik Telecom is becoming an increasingly important player in Slovakia’s TV industry and recently announced plans to launch a mobile OTT service and DTH platform.
Commenting on the launch, Gustavo Vainstein, Eurochannel’s CEO, said: “We are very proud that Antik Telecom will enable Slovakia to enjoy our unique selection of entertainment and brings to its subscribers an alternative to local and north-American content. It is an important achievement to accelerate our development in this region to watch the best of European entertainment.”
Vlastimil Lakatos, Antik Telecom’s IPTV manager, added: “We are proud to become the first IPTV provider ever in Slovakia and Czech Republic introducing the Eurochannel as a new exclusive TV channel in the Antik IPTV service. The new European entertainment channel will enrich our Premium package of TV channels.”
