Fox International Channels (FIC) has acquired all shares of Jan Dekker Holding BV in the 24Kitchen joint venture.
Four years ago, Jan Dekker and FIC together launched 24Kitchen, a new TV concept in the Dutch market. 24Kitchen is now one of the most popular media brands in the Netherlands.
In a statement, FIC said “This step FIC reaffirms its belief in the 24Kitchen brand, as well as in the further development of original and relevant content for the growing group 24Kitchen fans. FIC is excited about this next phase in the development of 24Kitchen. The broadcast group will continue to innovate and invest heavily in Dutch programmes to develop 24Kitchen as relevant and beloved transmitter and as cross-media platform for the fans.”
However, FIC also decided to close down the 24Kitchen production facility, “in order not to jeopardise the continued existence of the channel”, a move will means that 32 jobs will be axed.
