Hassselt-based Right Brain Interface has decided to pull the plug out of its OTT platform Bhaalu, following a recent court ruling.
The ruling was made in a procedure started by the three main Flemish broadcasting groups, public broadcaster VRT, and private broadcasters Medialaan (VTM) and SBS Belgium.
In November 2013 Right Brain launched Bhaalu as a network-PVR that will record all programmes the viewer subscribes to viua platforms such as TV Vlaanderen and Telenet. People could access the service via a dedicated Bhaalu set-top box, a Bhaalu smart stick or via a mobile app (for tablets and phones).
The service was available in belgium and The Netherlands, but the company has no decided to end its activities.
