UPC prepares ‘second pillar’ of Polish Horizon

November 24, 2014 10.56 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

upc-logo-rightThe Polish cable operator UPC Polska plans to launch a new VOD offer on December 1.

According to Wirtualne Media, My Prime Filmy i Seriale will consist of popular foreign series from companies such as ABC Studios, SPI and Sony Pictures Television (AXN Now), along with around 450 titles, both films and series, for kids plus 150 feature films.

Available through UPC digital receivers and the Horizon mobile app, it will cost PLN20 (€4.76) a month to receive from January, with the first month (December) being free of charge.

My Prime Filmy i Seriale will effectively be the ‘second pillar’ of Horizon, following on from the launch of the mobile app and before that of the Horizon box, expected to make its debut in Poland at the beginning of 2015.
