Luxembourg-based M7 Group has contracted additional capacity and extended an existing capacity contract on Astra at 23.5 degrees East.
It will be used to expand the number of HD channels offered by Skylink, the leading DTH platform in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Commenting on the development, Jaromir Glisnik, member of the board of M7 Group, said: “With the Czech and Slovak market now rapidly moving to HD viewing, it is critical to meet the growing consumer demand for HD content and thereby maintain our market-leading position. This new capacity agreement with SES will enable us to do so.”

Skylink is one of several DTH platforms operated by M7 Group. Serving the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, they have a combined total of over 3 million viewers.
