German subscription video-on-demand provider Watchever has launched a stand-alone service for children.
Kids by Watchever offers selected series and movies for children between 3 and 10 years of age for a flat fee of €4.99 per month.
Parents can create up to five user profiles with various restrictions, for example regarding age classification or maximum usage time. Further features are in preparation including an offline viewing mode.
The commercial-free offering can be downloaded as an app for Apple’s iPad and iPhone from the iTunes app store with further operating systems to follow. The app can be tested free of charge for seven days.
