Vodafone Deutschland will offer subscription video-on-demand service Netflix to its customers from November 12, 2014.
New customers signing up for one of Vodafone’s new Red tariffs for smartphones or tablets will gain access to Netflix free of charge for the first six months. Afterwards, they pay €8.99 per month for the option which can be cancelled monthly. The payment is made through the mobile phone bill.
Besides smartphones and tablets, Red customers can also use Netflix on their connected TV set, PC or laptop – on up to two devices at the same time.
Following Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone is the second telco in Germany to provide Netflix to its customers. At Telekom, however, billing is not through its own invoice, but through Netflix.
