MA HSH, the media authority of German federal states Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein, has launched proceedings for the allocation of a slot for digital terrestrial distribution of a TV channel in Schleswig-Holstein.
The capacity was previously used by Christian family channel Bibel TV which has decided to discontinue DTT transmissions in the urban areas of Schleswig-Holstein, a MA HSH spokeswoman told Broadband TV News.
The tender covers the DTT channels K59 in Lübeck and surroundings and K47 in Kiel and surroundings which will be immediately available for usage by a commercial broadcaster. The allocation will be for 10 years. The introduction of the new transmission standard DVB-T2 will take place within this period.
Interested broadcasters can submit their applications to MA HSH until November 25, 2014, 14.00 CET.
