HD+, the subscription platform with the HD versions of commercial free-to-air channels for DTH satellite households in Germany on Astra (19.2° East), has increased its customer figure to 1.59 million five years after its launch.
Compared with the customer base one year ago on September 30, 2013, this corresponds with a growth by 313,683 customers.
In Q3 2014 alone, 51,062 new customers were added, more than in Q2 2014 (47,089 new customers).
1.3 million households are in the free-of-charge trial period, thus HD+ currently reaches a total of 2.9 million households.
The platform operated by Astra satellite operator SES provides access to 19 commercial HD channels and 12 catch-up services (Mediatheken).
