Digitenne, the Dutch DTT platform owned and operated by KPN has seen its total number of subscribers drop below 500,000.
The operator continues to win IPTV customers, but its Digitenne customer base continues to decline.
KPN is ‘hiding’ the Digitenne numbers under the heading ‘others’, which includes both the Digitenne subscribers as well as analogue FttH homes, which it acquired after the take-over of Reggefiber’s TV business.
The total number of ‘other TV homes’ has seen a drop of 25,000 during the third quarter to 508,000. After subtracting the number of analogue FttH homes, which are believed to number around 10,000, the total number of Digitenne home has now fallen to below half a million.
