The leading Latvian cable operator Baltcom has launched a multiscreen service named TVplus.
At the same time, it has announced the appointment of András Piller as its new chairnan of the board.
Baltcom’s TVplus is unique in the Latvian market and comes alongside other improvements to its services, with the company’s Next Generation Network (NGN) now offering customers internet access at up to 250Mbps.
Meanwhile, András Piller has replaced Vojko Rovere, who was chairman of the board for two years and has now become Baltcom’s group president.
In his new role, Rovere, will continue to be responsible for strategic issues, as well as the implementation of TVplus.
Piller has previously held senior industry positions in Bulgaria, Ukraine and his native Hungary, where he was CEO of Antenna Hungária.
