The Telenor Group has reported record revenues of NOK27,685 million (€3,297 million) for the third quarter, up from NOK25,953 million a year earlier.
EBITDA before other income and expenses amnounted to NOK10,263 million (NOK9,619 million) and profit after taxes and non-controlling interests NOK2,586 million (NOK3,917 million).
Meanwhile, Telenor Satellite Broadcasting (TSBc) had revenues of NOK238 million in Q3, slightly down on the NOK241 million posted a year earlier.
EBITDA was NOK167 million (NOK171 million) and Capex NOK82 million (NOK32 million).
Revenue and EBITDA falls were partly offset by higher revenues from data communication, while Capex was primarily related to Thor 7 ground infrastructure investments.
The company notes that its financial performance was in line with the outlook for 2014.
It also says that Thor 7 build completion and launch are expected at the end of Q1 2015.
Looking specifically at its TV business, in Norway the Telenor Group ended Q3 with 530,000 subscribers to its services, while in Sweden it had 517,000 subscribers.
