German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland and Warner Bros. International Television Distribution have agreed to an early extension of their cooperation for several more years.
The long-term contract of which financial details have not been disclosed includes the exclusive pay-TV rights and on-demand rights for all Warner movies across several platforms.
The agreement enables Sky Deutschland to continue screening all new cinema releases by Warner as German TV debuts. Upcoming films include titles such as Interstellar, Horrible Bosses 2, Magic in the Moonlight and Mad Max: Fury Road as well as German productions Honig im Kopf from Til Schweiger and Der Nanny from Matthias Schweighöfer.
Through add-on services Sky Go and Sky Anytime subscribers will be able to watch the movies on the go and on demand.
Furthermore, Sky acquired from Warner the exclusive pay-TV rights for library films which can also be shown on Sky Go and Sky Anytime.
