US media company Liberty Global has created the new position of chief customer officer (CCO) at its cable subsidiaries in Austria and Switzerland, UPC Austria and UPC Cablecom, which have been operating under joint leadership since August, 2014.
Frank Zelger, previously senior vice president customer care & services at UPC Cablecom, has been appointed to the role which covers the areas of sales and customer care and thus all activities involving interaction with customers.
Liberty Global announced in July 2014 to introduce a transnational management team for its cable assets in Austria and Switzerland to optimally address the potential for economies of scale. The joint management is headquartered in Zurich and led by CEO Eric Tveter, formerly managing director of UPC Cablecom.
