Discovery extends Bulgarian deal

BulsatcomDiscovery Networks CEEMEA and Bulgaria’s leading pay-TV company Bulsatcom have extended a long-term strategic partnership.

As a result, Bulsatcom subscribers will have access to the full Discovery Networks and Eurosport portfolios available in the local market.

This consists of 14 channels, namely Discovery Channel, TLC, ID Xtra, Animal Planet, Discovery Science, Discovery World, Discovery HD Showcase, ID Xtra HD, Discovery Science HD, Animal Planet HD, Eurosport, Eurosport 2, Eurosport HD, Eurosport 2 HD.

Commenting on the development, Victoria Davies, acting country manager South-East Europe, Discovery Networks CEEMEA, said: “We are really pleased with continuing our long-term partnership with Bulsatcom, by bringing their subscribers in Bulgaria the most exciting Pay TV portfolio of factual entertainment, lifestyle and sports channels. The extension of our agreement reaffirms Bulsatcom’s support to our commitment of investing in and producing the highest-quality content. We look forward to building value for Bulsatcom’s lineup and customers for the coming years”.

Maxim Zayakov, co-owner of Bulsatcom, added: “I am pleased that we have reached an agreement that allows us to offer our customers a wide variety of content in the long run.
