Scripps Networks UK & EMEA has secured a multi-territory, multi-year distribution deal with Liberty Global.
It ensures a continued carriage for brands Food Network, Travel Channel and Fine Living in existing territories and includes the option for Liberty Global to add Food Network and Fine Living in a number of the markets where they are not currently carried. These include the Netherlands, where Food Network is absent from both UPC and Ziggo.
Jon Sichel, Managing Director, Scripps Networks UK & EMEA said: “We have had a long-standing partnership with Liberty Global and it’s very exciting to see the expansion of our channels on one of the most recognised and respected platform providers throughout Europe. Our lifestyle channels continue to resonate with audiences globally.”
Jeroen Bergman, Managing Director Programming, Liberty Global added: “As part of our aim to be the entertainment leader in our various territories, we continue to search for high quality, unique and inspiring content and we are confident that Scripps’ lifestyle channels will be enjoyed by many of our subscribers.”
Delivery of Food Network and Fine Living will commence in 2015.
