German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland will devote a whole TV channel to the Star Wars movie franchise.
From December 1 to December 14, 2014 the channel Sky Hits will be turned into Sky Star Wars HD. The channel will show all six Star Wars movies 24 hours per day along with features and documentaries offering glimpses behind the scenes.
Sky Star Wars HD will also screen two exclusive In the Life of… episodes with Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker who worked on all six films as the robots C-3PO und R2-D2.
“We are well aware that December 18, 2015 is much too long for fans to wait until the release of Star Wars: Episode VII“, Gary Davey, executive vice president programming at Sky Deutschland, said in Munich. “Many thanks to our outstanding partners Disney and Lucasfilm for the opportunity to exclusively offer Sky Star Wars HD.”
