The BBC is in active discussions about introducing its BBC Brit, BBC Earth and BBC First brands in Poland next year.
Furthermore, according to Paul Dempsey, who is responsible for BBC Worldwide’s operations in 200 non-English-speaking countries, added that the broadcaster is also in talks about converting the three brands into TV Everywhere services.
Speaking about the three brands, Dempsey referred back to the success seen in creating the brand Dave, which replaced UKTV G2. This had resulted in an increase of 70% in audience share and £4.5 million profit in six months.
It had also resulted in 8 million new viewers in three months.
Dempsey also referred to BBC Brit, BBC Earth and BBC First as a “new generation of brand”.
