The Slovak broadcaster TV Joj plans to launch what will be its fifth channel in the next few months.
According to Zive, it will be aimed at children and funded by fees from operators rather than free of charge like its other channels.
It adds that TV Joj has already applied to the Council for Broadcasting and Retransmission for a licence for the channel, which will be in Slovak.
All the other children’s channels currently available in Slovakia – Disney Channel, Jim Jam, Nickelodeon, Megamax and Minimax – are only available in Czech.
TV Joj’s channel portfolio currently consists of Joj, Plus, Wau and Senzi.
