The Polish public broadcaster TVP has been hit by fines totaling PLN100,000 (€23,885) by the country’s National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT).
According to the regulator, the punishment refers to various infringements governing commercial communications, specifically self-promotion and excessive product placement.
They were seen in episodes of the programmes Klan and For good and evil, broadcast on TVP1 and TVP2 respectively earlier this year.
Speaking to the local media, TVP spokesman Jacek Rakowiecki said it would respond to the fines today (September 29).
