The Hungarian pay-DTT platform MinDig TV Extra saw a surprising fall in its subscriber total in August.
According to figures published by the regulator NMHH, it ended the month with 120,207, down by just over 6,000 (126,332) recorded in June.
However MinDig TV Extra’s share of the wireless broadband market remained a still reasonable 11.6%, behind the leading players Digi (31.1%), Telekom (29.6%) and UPC Direct (26%).
In August, the total number of DFTH homes in Hungary stood at 901,880, while the cable and IPTV total was 2,044,625.
Of the latter figure, the majority (1,084,115) were digital.
