Sony is joining an increasingly crowded streaming market with the launch of a new pay-TV service.
The launch comes on the back of PlayStation TV, a new device that makes its debut in North America on October 14.
Sony says it has struck a deal that from launcg will see the PlayStation TV box carry 22 channels from the Viacom stable including MTV, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central.
Like Roku and Apple TV devices there will be the opportunity to view popular movies and TV series.
700 games will also be available to play such as Killzone: Mercenary, cult hits like Persona 4 Golden, and classics like Metal Gear Solid.
It will also be possible to stream a PS4 game from a console to a PS TV over a wired internet connection.
The cost will be $100 or $140 with a wireless controller.
