Aamir Hussain is leaving his role as chief technology officer of Liberty Global to return to the United States.
He’s joining networking solutions company CenturyLink in October as Chief Technology Officer, leading the Product and Technology Development function.
The news was relayed to delegates at Liberty Global’s annual technical event in Amsterdam, following IBC.
Hussain has more than 20 years of experience leading global technology operations, infrastructure development and business solutions within the cable, broadband and telecommunications industries. Prior to Liberty Global, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Covad Communications, the largest Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) in the United States. He has held other leadership and technology design roles at TELUS, Qwest, BellSouth, Samsung and Motorola.
