TiVo is expanding its European sales effort with new offices in Austria, the UK, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain.
Previously the advanced set-top company has managed the European marketplace from the United States, though has established development partnerships with the three operators currently running its service; Virgin Media, Ono and Com Hem.
“We are excited to fully launch our European Sales Organization to meet the needs of our European customers,” said Ben Weinberger, Vice President at TiVo. “Operators are no longer satisfied with basic search and recommendations. They demand the most sophisticated and customizable personalized search and recommendations platform to further drive engagement and increase customer satisfaction. TiVo delivers this need.”
It should be noted that while there is no on the ground presence in the Nordics, there are sales efforts established in the Netherlands and Poland, where so far no operators have been announced.
