Quadrille will release an HbbTV 2.0 compliant version of its QuadriFast Push VOD solution at IBC.
According to Xavier Battas, the company’s CEO, “the HbbTV standard is one of the resounding successes of our industry and is regularly expanding its geographic footprint; it is very natural for Quadrille to adapt its Quadrifast Push technology to the HbbTV 2.0 standard to enable new types of consumer services”.
France-based Quadrille is a member of the HbbTv association and has been at the forefront of the use of Push technology in the broadcast industry to allow on demand services, and in particular VOD to be offered to consumers with no or limited internet connectivity.
