Interactive TV developer Stoneroos (Hal 2, stand A46) will be showing its combined Live TV, catch-up TV and Second Screen companion app.The app is a further development of the current version, which combines live TV and radio and access to catch-up services as well as an extended EPG. As a second screen, the app now synchronises with the live TV signal using audio recognition.
During commercial breaks, the second screen is in direct synch with each individual commercial offering advertisers the opportunity to add additional promotions as well as a direct link to special offers, which can be accessed by a single touch on the screen.
Stoneroos is also showing second screen play-along apps with which people can participate and play their own games. The app is making use of synchronisation, which is up to the second accurate.
The company is also showing two versions of synchronisation with live and recorded TV signals, using either watermarking or fingerprinting. Examples include coverage of live cricket games, Bollywood movies and entertainment programming.
Stoneroos already successfully realised projects for Glashart Media, Tele2, Telfort, KPN, Vodafone and the Dutch Public Broadcasting (NPO).
