German video-on-demand (VOD) service Maxdome gears up for the upcoming German launch of US competitor Netflix with an extensive US series package.
The portfolio acquired by the ProSiebenSat.1 subsidiary contains, for example, all seasons of The Walking Dead, Californication, Navy CIS L.A., Spartacus, Lost and Grey’s Anatomy.
Also part of the line-up are the current episodes of Castle, Under The Dome and Criminal Minds which maxdome makes available one week ahead of their German free-to-air TV debut as well as the new seasons of Hannibal, Played and Cracked.
The series are part of maxdome’s subscription VOD proposition which provides more than 50,000 pieces of content for a flat fee of €7.99 per month. Further new US series will be added in the next weeks and months.
“For a price of only €7.99, maxdome offers enough series content to watch high-quality series non-stop for more than one year,” managing director Andreas Heyden said in Munich. “Besides our series, customers also find a broad movie line-up and plenty of attractive children’s programmes. The monthly subscription also provides lots of content in HD quality at no extra charge.”
