BSkyB’s pay-as-you-go platform NOW TV is making its debut on Google’s Chromecast media streaming device, adding the ability to view the Sky Sports, Sky Movies, and Sky Entertainment Channels.
It’s also been announced that ITV Encore, the broadcaster’s mini-pay channel, is also joining the NOW TV Entertainment Pass.
Gideon Katz, Director of NOW TV, said: “We’re big fans of tiny media streaming devices so we’re really excited to add Google Chromecast to the family. It means customers have another great way to enjoy NOW TV on their big screen”.
Separately, Sky has been withdrawing the availability of its Sky Go service – available to its direct subscribers – from Google Chrome, advising users to use an alternative browser for desktop viewing.
Chromecast plugs into the HDMI port on a TV. It also works on Android and iOS devices, as well as Macs, Windows PCs and Chromebooks.
