Poland’s Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) has announced a tender for frequencies on five local DTT multiplexes that will serve the west and south west of the country.
Bids for the frequencies, in the 470-790 MHz band, are invited up until October 14 and awarded licences will be valid until the end of December 2020.
One of the bidders is likely to be Telewizja Odra, which is currently off air but previously operated as a local analogue TV service.
Channels already licenced for national DTT distribution cannot take part in the contest.
Poland currently has two local DTT multiplexes up and running.
