The 24-hour news channel Ukraine Today (UT) has made its debut.
Distributed via satellite and over the internet, the service, which is operated by the 1+1 Media Group, officially began broadcasting on August 24, Ukraine’s Independence Day.
According to Alexander Tkachenko, CEO of 1+ 1 Media, UT will challenge the large sacle information war currently being waged by Russian media about the conflict in Ukraine.
As previously reported in Broadband TV News, UT is broadcast in English and distributed FTA via Hotbird.
It will in due course also broadcast in Russia and extend its coverage to the US.
