FC Barcelona goes mobile in 40 countries

FC BarcelonaMexican Binbit has signed an agreement with FC Barcelona for the exclusive distribution of information and digital content of the Club through mobile devices.

This agreement includes 40 countries in Latin America, Asia and East Europe.

Antoni Muntaner, founder and chairman of Binbit, explained that the deal includes the next three football seasons and was made in the context of Binbit’s new strategy, which aims to consolidate alliances
with high-value brands.

“This agreement will help both companies generate extra revenue by distributing high quality content in these countries. We aim to create the largest mobile community of FC Barcelona mobile fans to offer them the best content of the team” he said.

“We are very excited about the launch of this project which aims todistribute digital content internationally” said Dídac Lee, director of Media and Communication and responsible of New Technologies of FC
Barcelona.

“We have decided to go forward with this project alongside Binbit due to its high level of penetration in the international market, particularly in emerging countries and strategic nations. This is the
key element to our Club, since we have to serve and reach all parts of the world to meet the needs of our members and fans”.

The countries included in the exclusive distribution deal, and that will have access to the best content of the team are the following: Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, El
Salvador, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Serbia, Croatia, Albania, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Poland, Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan.
