German yourfamily to launch at My-HD

August 18, 2014 21.50 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Your Family EntertainmentGerman children’s and family channel yourfamily will become available on pay-TV platform My-HD in the Middle East and North Africa this summer.

This was announced by operating company Your Family Entertainment in Munich.

My-HD reaches over 170 million viewers in more than 22 countries through a partnership with satellite operator Arabsat. The Dubai-based DTH platform currently carries 57 channels of which 46 are offered in high-definition including Discovery Science HD, Animal Planet HD and Nat Geo Music HD.

With the move, yourfamily expands its international distribution. The channel can already be received, for example, in Africa on pay-TV platforms AzamTV and Satelio as well as in France and Central Europe.

The subscription channel mainly shows programmes produced in Europe such as the movie adaptions of Enid Blyton’s youth novels. The target groups are children between 3 and 13 years of age and their families.
