NOW TV reduces Sky Sports cost

August 11, 2014 10.10 Europe/London By Julian Clover

now_tv_box_interface_hi_resBSkyB has reduced the cost of entry for Sky Sports through a new weekly NOW TV pass.

The start of the new football season will see the seven-channel network available for £10.99. A new channel dedicated to European football, Sky Sports 5, will make its debut this week while Sky Sports News is relaunching as Sky Sports News HQ [sic].

Meanwhile, the Sky Sports Day Pass is being reduced to £6.99, also for a limited period.

Gidon Katz, Director of NOW TV comments: “With the start of the football season just days away, this is a great time to be giving sports fans even more choice. We know our sports fans are hungry for more flexibility in how they watch sports and the new Sky Sports Week Pass offers just that. Now fans simply have to decide if they want to snack on a day pass or feast on a week’s sport for just £10.99.”

It’s not clear as to how long the reduced prices will be available.
